Loyal To Who

Loyal To Who

Good Evening,

I pray all of you have been well since my last message. I tell you when this message hit me it was like a ton of bricks falling on me from the sky. I titled this message as I did because it seems so many of us are making life altering decision out of a false sense of loyalty. There have been so many acts of murders being committed out of loyalty to gangs, neighborhoods, drug related and etc. I have to be the voice of truth for those of you who may be in bondage to the mentality of this loyalty. I just need you to stop and think about the consequences of this loyalty. Will this loyalty be present when jail time is knocking at your door? Will this loyalty be present when your own life is at risk? Will this loyalty be present when the mental anguish of taking someone’s life sets in your mind? I say to you if you’re going to be loyal to anything be loyal to yourself, your future, and God. If no one believes in you I believe in you that you are bigger than your circumstances, bigger than your environment in which you were raised, and the future is worth more than a momentary act of violence.  So many times we also allow loyalty to hold us in bondage to bad relationships as well! If the relationship isn’t helping you grow and it’s causing more complication then elevation then why is the see of this false sense of loyalty holding you there? What happens when the scars from this relationship of loyalty hinders you from healing? What happens when this sense of loyalty turns to violence with the relationship? What happens when the sense of loyalty causes you to lose yourself, lose your confidence, and lose your drive to live? If you’re going to be loyal to a relationship then it should reflect the love you give,  engulfed in the respect you deserve, elevate the mind and spirit beyond your understanding, and breathe life into the relationship at all times. Be wise and always be loyal to the love you have for yourself so then you are brave enough to see things clearly and make right decisions.

I believe or not we often show a sense of loyalty to materialism as well. What I mean is many of us will sell our soul by doing certain acts against ourselves just to have things such as the latest fashion, the newest car, the certain designer label, and much more. Now this loyalty is very dangerous because it comes with a reward of the things you love so its justified in your mind. You have to be very wise and honest with yourself in this one and remove the dirt from your vision. This loyalty will leave you with stressful days, crying nights, and emptiness within your soul. If you’re going to be loyal to something be loyal to the constant growth of who you are from the inside out. Be loyal to mastering who you are and rising above any situation and all these things will be attributes to who you are and not who you are.

Quote: Loyalty is a great trait to have, but it’s what we are loyal to that’s dangerous. ~d.taylor
