Water The Seed

Good evening,

Normally I address the men and women differently but this week I feel this is a general conversation that applies to both genders. The topic to be discussed this week is “Dreams”. Young boys and girls, men and women, we all have dreams or had dreams at one point in time. However many of us may have set out and accomplish those through determination, hard-work, and a heart to succeed while failure was not an option. On the other hand there are young people who need that spoken word in there lives so that there dreams can be manifested. There are more people out here who hear the negative more then they hear the support of the dreams. We all need to take more responsibility in encouraging and supporting our youth so that we produce more successful men and women. There are several circumstances that may play a part in someone not receiving the proper guidance due to parents, divorcing, single parent homes, and etc. However that doesn’t mean they should go without because we forget how much power God has empowered us with through our tongue. James 3:3-5: “Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. “Proverbs 16:24: “Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul, and health to the body.” Proverbs 12:14: “A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his words.” These are just a few verses that support the point of this message. I was watching the game the other night and watched the story they did on Kevin Durant and his basketball coach/mentor. This man actually spoke Kevin’s nba career way before it ever existed and before he ever believed it. That’s the power we possess and the difference we can make in someones life. Also with that being saying we also have to be straight up and not candy coat things just so someone can digest it better but instead be real because truth is your behavior, decision, influence, friends, and etc will play a role in the evolution of your dream or goal (Proverbs 12:26
A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray). Guidance is necessary in this world we live in but it has to be something that is positive in the way we water the seeds of dreams, life, and visions of our youth and even those who may be older.
