Badge Of Honor

Peace and Blessings to you all in the mighty name of Jesus.

As we go through our lives on a daily basis we must understand the importance of honoring the God we serve. Everything we do and say should be preceded with thoughts of honoring Him. In this message are a few areas in which we must honor God in daily.

Honor God In Conversation: As believers we must understand that our words not only carry power but also are representation of God in which we have become a spokesperson of the Kingdom of God. We have to be careful of every word that we speak because we will have to give an account for every word (Matthew 12:36). We must not engaged in foolish talk, arguments, debates, and nor should we use foul language of any kind (Titus 3:9). Once we have experienced God and truly are serious about serving him then he will teach us how to talk just as he does according to Isaiah 50:4. Our words should be those of God because things we speak as believers are tied to seasons in our lives and others. People should hear wisdom in your conversation because of what God is saying through you at that moment. There is a difference in Godly wisdom being spoken and someone just wanting to show their intellectual ability about the word of God (Colossians 2:8). Godly wisdom is learning the word of God and the application of the word of God. Remember a wise man teaches his mouth according to Proverbs 16:23.

Honor God In Daily Living: Each day of your life as a believer you should live to represent God through your daily living. Once you repented, believed, and proclaimed Christ as your savior then it’s no longer you who lives but Christ within you (Galatians 2:20). Therefore God should be teaching and directing your life daily in representation as well as fulfilling his agenda through you. Your daily living should bring pleasure to the eyes of God because of how sincere you are about honoring Him. We can’t say we are believers in God while still entertaining the things of the world such as clubs and etc. The way you use to live life should be gone because the word of God says light and darkness can’t dwell together (2 Corinthians 6:14). Sometimes we tend to fool ourselves saying well I haven’t been out in a while or I’m just going to go every blue moon. What if there is someone who’s assigned to you watching but hasn’t come forth yet? If you are saying one thing and doing another this could be damaging to your witness as well as giving the wrong impression as if this is acceptable. We are called to be imitators of Christ therefore we should maintain a disciplined and committed life for Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1).

Honor In Presentation: Many times we miss the importance of this but how we represent God is important. Many people first encounter with Christ will be through you. Some will have experienced the wrong image of who God is because of believers who are straddling the fence or the things learned through traditional religion. However God is a King who oversees a Kingdom in which we are heirs of this Kingdom. As a believer it is your responsibility to make sure you represent God in a manner that truly reveals who he is as well as his Kingdom. Even how we present ourselves as representative of God must be to a level of excellence.

Let’s give God excellence in these areas of our lives so that he may find it pleasant and worthy of all he has done for us.

Out of Position

Peace and Blessings to you all in the mighty name of Jesus.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I know it has been a while since I have written to you but the Holy Spirit has released some awesome things for me to share with you. In this message I want you to understand the importance of your purpose/calling upon your life. I’m sure you’ve heard this saying before which is “you are here for a reason”. Well this is a very true statement and it isn’t a coincidence that you were born. God had something specific in mind that he wanted you to accomplish and he commissioned you to do it (Jeremiah 1:5). Your purpose/calling is so important that God actually tied other people to it that you are designated to help. Your gifts (1 Corinthians 12:7-10) assist you in accomplishing your purpose, which will never be taken away from you according to Romans 11:29. This means that no matter what the purpose is of your very existence and the gifts that you have will remain there dormant until you submit to the will of God for your life.  However many of us are concerned with other things of God. We even go so far as to doing the things we love to do, working every chance we get, and etc. Sometimes we do stop and hear the voice of God prompting us to do something. Most of the time we respond saying “I will do it later” or we allow the enemy to convince us we need to be perfect before we are obedient to the voice of God. We fail to realize it is the true experience and relationship with Christ that will perfect us. Therefore the real struggle isn’t in perfection but it lies in the subjection to the will of Christ for our lives in which most people never take that first step. We must understand the dangers that lie in disobedience, living without purpose, and never answering the calling God has place on our lives. Let’s take a look at the dangers so that you can really get a visual of how much exposure you allow yourself to be in with enemy on a daily basis. First off you if you were are father/mother it is your responsibility to protect your kids. Well not only is protection required in the natural but also in the spiritual realm. The best time for the enemy to attack is during childhood in which the enemy desire is to inject as many demonic spirits as possible. So the father/mother is the barrier between the demonic forces and the child. You must be in your spiritual position in order to see spiritual things because natural eyesight will not comprehend these things. Therefore you must be in a committed and serious relationship with God so that he can release things to you concerning spiritual things. God will warn you of things before they happen and he will also tell you what the solution is to something you may be unaware and aware of spiritually. This only comes through being in line with the will of God for your life. Now I want to give you another prospective of this from a husband/wife point of view. The enemy loves nothing more than to destroy a marriage. When you are married it opens up favor with God because of how precious the covenant of marriage is to God. If the husband isn’t in position (purpose) he leaves the door open for the enemy to attack his home. It allows the enemy to ease in causing division in several ways which can lead to feelings of divorce. He will even begin to make you look at past situation of old acquaintances which engages you in the spirit of lust trying to get you to commit adultery. If the head (husband) isn’t in place then how does the tail follow? The head has to give direction so the tail will follow. As long as the husband is out of place the more exposure to his marriage is to the attacks of the enemy. Now here is another viewpoint for you that God has tied to our purpose. God has commissioned you to go out and preach about his Kingdom (Luke 9:2) (Matthew 10:7). There are people who will experience Christ when they encounter you. God has assigned you to witness to them on his behalf. He has also given you power to overcome principalities, rulers of darkness, and against spiritual wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). There are people wanting to turn their life around, some are in need of healing and deliverance, and some are in need of encouragement. God has designated you to fulfill this task for him. Therefore the longer you continue to please your flesh then you delay these individuals. Spiritual warfare is at an all-time high and many are watching the news asking themselves if the world is going crazy. Let me share with you what the problem is, to many of us who should be engaged in this spiritual warfare are watching it instead being involved in the warfare. Ask yourself a few questions today for me:

Were you assigned to cast out the spirit of murder in an individual whom just committed a senseless murder?

Were you assigned to lay healing hands on the body of a person suffering from some form of illness?

Were you the spiritual barrier for a child who just got molested or has a spirit of rejection and maybe a spirit of rebellion?

Are you taking a spiritual stand to protect your family?

Are you standing against the wickedness of this world?

Quote: Being a believer doesn’t always mean to be passive about things. We must know that we are warriors to maintaining our ground for the God we serve.

Desires & Dreams

Good Morning,

Holy Spirit really began to open my eyes when he ministered this message to me. It was such a blessing to just hear him teach and give me visuals with the teaching. Lord I give you praise for your wisdom and guidance. We all have had dreams we wanted to obtain as adults and children. Holy Spirit began to take me deeper into the difference between dreams and desires of the heart. The dictionary meaning of dream is an aspiration, goal, or aim. A dream usually consists of something you saw or want to be/obtain. The thing about a dream is it’s usually coupled with the words such as I, I want, or something of a personal gain for self. Sometimes our dreams change as we get older depending on what we may see ourselves doing or wanting to do at a particular time in our life. Holy Spirit is really leading me right now and just spoke to saying “Look at the word want it keeps appearing in reference to dreams.” We often hear people say go chase your dreams but we must be mindful that our words frame our world. A dream can be viewed as something that would speak more to our wants or personal agendas. Many have lost all they had chasing after their dreams. Others have moved across the country or even to America in hopes to capture a dream in which they are chasing. God has never desired to see us lose anything but to live life abundantly. There is a difference when he strips us of certain things but it is only to bless us with something better. One must understand you can only flourish where God has assigned you to flourish within the will he has set for you. The word of God speaks to desires of the heart instead of dreams. Desire in the dictionary means to express a wish to obtain, ask for, request. This would be in concordance with the word of God according to Mark 11:24 which reads, “Therefore I say unto you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Now depending on which version of the Bible your reading it may use the word ask/desire. No matter which version you’re reading there is a distinct difference in a dream and desire. The word of God doesn’t tell you to chase your dreams but instead seek ye first the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33). As you find him you begin to marvel at the experience of Christ. Your desires become to please him and advance his kingdom. Through this you now find purpose and as you find purpose the true desires of our heart emerge. The desires of our heart now have nothing to do with yourself or what you want to be. It deals with who God says you are and what you were created to do. Dreams are sought to accomplish self- related things but desires are designed to accomplish God ordained things in which you were created to do. Once you have established something with God based off his principles then those things are set in motion. God has blessed you with the gifts to do whatever it is you need to in compliance with his will for your life. Your gifts will put you before those you need to meet according to Proverbs 18:16. Desires of the heart are put within you to include others. Dreams are self- generated while desires of the heart are produced to include others (see Philippians 2:4). Focus in on your God-given and God –related desires because God always desires to bless you to be a blessing to others through you.

Quote: Go seek the will of God for your life and discover the true desires of your heart.

Justified

Good Morning,

I see so many who are true men and women of God walking in their purpose defending themselves from their past because of others. I say to you true men and women of God because living for Christ is serious and nothing to play around with it. Honor him in your conversation, conduct, and presentation of yourself to others. Brothers and sisters I want to encourage you to continue in your works because it is genuine and authentic for the Lord. God has given us a standard to live by and expects us to do so. I see many of you doing that so there is no need to address someone bring up or talking about your past. We must not even allow our own carnal minds to subject us to think about the past for God has brought us out of that darkness into a marvelous light. When we come into the truth of God and truth of who were created to be then we must have a renewed mind and that brings forth a renewed lifestyle (Ephesians 4:32). Once you have experienced this newness there is no need to revisit the past in action or conversation. The only time we should really bring up the past is for the use of ministering to help someone else break strongholds within their lives from our experiences. What you must understand are many times people will bring up your past in efforts to discourage you but know it’s not them but satan pulling their strings. Some will even want to see you as they remember you before your journey with Christ begin so that they can be comfortable in their mess around you. Some merely bring up your past because they are still indulging in and they need to justify their own actions. Please don’t be bother by this because we all have a past and have fallen short according to Romans 3:23. However there is no excuse to have professed God as your savior and never change in mindset or lifestyle. The most effective part of your ministry comes through your actions so that is why it is important to walk in truth (John 4:24, Romans 14:16). You must understand we are justified by our faith and our works (James3:24). Once you have truly experienced Christ, conviction within yourself quickens within the spirit if you do the smallest thing that doesn’t bring honor to God. When you walk in spirit and truth as a believer you can handle correction because the Holy Spirit does it in a loving way in which we should also do towards each other as brother and sisters. There is no need to defend or argue so to speak when you know the truth and are walking in compliance with the word of God and the will of God for our life. The word of God says this is actually a waste of time to do such things with others (1 Timothy 6:4-5) and I believe it is a waste for us to do it within ourselves. You have given your life to God and walking in obedience to the Holy Spirit then rejoice in God and your present life. Stay focused and be encouraged in the Lord. Always remember that you have been redeemed with the blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (1 Peter 1:18-19). Be encouraged to walk in truth, in obedience, and with honor for God embedded within your heart. This will eliminate the need or want to ever defend anything of your former self.

Image Within Your Imagery

Part 1

Good Morning,

I pray blessings have been upon your life since my last message. Today I’d like to talk to my young men and women. As I look out in the world I noticed how much imitation within our community as a result of music and television. I wanted to give you a closer look at this and begin to dissect what you may or may not that you are representing. Many of our young men have begun to dress exactly as they see in music videos and television. Many of these images are disturbing because they are tied to the kingdom of darkness but it is being placed in the mind of society as the newest trend of fashion. Images are constantly being posted via facebook with young men sagging pants, gangsta appearance, and bottles of liquor in their efforts to turn up as they would say as well as our women. The problem with this image is many are overlooking the fact that everything has something that represents it. In most of the music the lyrics suggest violence, drunkenness, murder, homosexuality of women, illegal activity, being high, and it’s associated with a certain look that embraces the culture of it. Many will repeat many of the lyrics of these songs with understanding that your world is framed by what you say according to Mark 11:23. If you repeat the negatives of this music then surely they will come to pass in your life. Don’t be surprised when something happens unexpectedly but know it was either of a seed you had sown or the words that proceeded out of your mouth as stated in Matthew 12:36. These things I stated before have nothing to do with the kingdom of God according to 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. Also in Galatians 5:19-21 in states those involved in these activities will not inherit the kingdom of God. So if these things aren’t of God and he will not allow an entrance of those involved then these things must be that of the kingdom of darkness. The words and representation of the image is that of kingdom of darkness in which his sole purpose in to destroy you while keeping you in agreement by representation. Why is it that so many of our young men are representing this culture (kingdom of darkness) without hesitation? There has to be a lack of understanding of what you are doing and whom you are associating yourself with. In Hosea 4:6 it’s stated that people will perish for a lack of knowledge. This culture is that of one that is boastful of material things and its glamor has no real value. It’s deceitful in its nature seducing others to engage in behaviors and ideals that make them feel associated (i.e tattoos) with this culture which isn’t of God (1Corinthinans 6:19). Even our young women have become targets for the lust and pleasure of this culture. Ladies because of the image you imitate in the music you see and some of the shows you watch it opens the door for you to be accessible to fulfilling the desires of men lust, pleasures, and completely discredits your true worth and value. Ladies please understand you can be sexy and classy without being skimpy with your appearance. You will still be wanted without having to sleep with other women to please a man, without drunkenness, without being a side chick, and without allowing your self-esteem and values to be compromised for the fulfillment of a man in your life. Truth be told your value is so precious that a man’s life is determined by the quality of his wife. I pose the same question to you ladies today, “Why are so many of our young women imitating a culture that operates and promotes the kingdom of darkness?” This very kingdom strips you of everything God says you are as long as you operate in it or pledge your allegiance to it by the replication of its imagery. Are you seeing the picture now? Everything has an image that represents it!! We must be careful of things we tend to duplicate because they are a representation of who we serve. In the next part of this message we will look at what God says we are according to 1 Peter 2:9. God is a God of order, structure, and honor therefore we should present ourselves so that our image reflects we are part of the Kingdom of God and heirs to the promises of his Kingdom.

Quote: The danger with these images is the next generation has already begun to duplicate the image. If they never have a picture of true men begin men of God then how can we expect them to go further then we have. Stop hindering and start mentoring!! ~d.taylor

Committed

Good Morning,

I pray blessing over your life and peace has been within you since my last message. Today I want to talk to you about your commitment to God. Many of us are committed to our jobs and other things we have to take care of. What is amazing is that many times we will arrange everything in our lives around our work schedules but what about when it comes to God’s work? We get so focused sometimes on our jobs that we forget our job isn’t our resource but God is the resource. Anyone who knows me also knows that my commitment to God is the most important thing to me. I recently had to make a decision with my very own work schedule being changed at the last minute it came down to work or God’s work for me. I choose to use vacation time to pursue God’s agenda because if we can plan things around our work schedule we should be willing to rearrange our schedules to do God’s will. We must be careful not allow our earthly commitments to intervene with our spiritual commitments. God desires to see your commitment to him and with that he will reward you according to 1 Samuel 12:24. God desires your time and talents as you serve him and I’m not saying to neglect your job duties but I am saying pursue God’s agenda first. We must understand our commitment to serve is always a priority even when it may be challenging we must whatever to be obedient to the Holy Spirit. If God desire is for you to be somewhere and you do the opposite then you have just missed God. Your mind will always have you considering what you have to take care of naturally first but the Holy Spirit will lead you into take care of God’s agenda first. We only prosper as our soul prospers according to 3 John 1:2. We must be serious about our commitment to God and honor him in doing so and never place anything above his work. He knows exactly what you need and when you need it. No matter how young or old we are we should always maintain a passion for serving God and fulfilling his agenda above all things. Once we truly begin to operate in this manner then we can be confident of what is stated in Psalms 37:25 and stand on it. Be diligent in your works for God and your commitment to God for you will be rewarded according to Proverbs 12:14. Don’t stop and be diligent in your works for God and you will be rewarded according to Proverbs 12:14. Never let anything be above God’s agenda in your life. Stand with boldness and confident of his ability to provide and lead into the things that are of his will for your life. I say to you today acknowledge God in all things and be passionate about your commitment for his plans is to give you an expected end.

Quote: Commitment keeps us accountable to the will of God for our lives. If there is no commitment then we become a danger to ourselves and leave ourselves vulnerable for the enemy.

Influence

Influence

Good Morning,

I pray peace and blessing to you all since my last message. Holy Spirit began to deal with me about this message a couple weeks ago. Do you really understand the level of influence that you carry as a believer and citizen representative of Gods Kingdom? Many of us don’t walk in the complete confidence, authority, and power God has given us. Our impact in our homes, schools, jobs, and community should be enormous. We carry the ability to pull others into the law of God based upon our actions and obedience to the instruction/principles of God. For example 2 Corinthians 9:7 reads, So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; For God loves a cheerful giver. So when we begin to focus on the need and provide a solution, then people will begin to give cheerfully to what God has instructed you to do. Well when this happens you have just pulled this person into the law of this scripture because now God blesses them for being a cheerful giver. When we begin to walk in complete confidence about our purpose and Gods Kingdom it begins to attract others so that we can begin to enhance the principles of God in their lives. Deuteronomy 31:6 reads, Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. When we begin to internalize this scripture it will create a boldness and a sense of urgency in the things you have established and declared with the Lord to go out and accomplish his will. Once this happens we tap into our omnipotence that is God given and truly begin to change circumstances and environments. Therefore we should be advancing the Kingdom of God in every aspect of our lives and this world. We should never carry the mindset that “this is just how it is” when we have the ability to change the atmosphere/culture of it. However it all starts with our actions because when we begin to live God’s word this is when teaching really takes place. When we apply the word of God in our everyday lives and become obedient to His law then manifestation begins to take place. As manifestation takes place it allows others to see the power of God through complete obedience and denying our own personal agendas as well as our flesh. Many times an individual(s) first encounter with God will be through the example they see in your life. This is why it’s important to be true to our brothers and sisters in Christ by not contradicting ourselves in our actions of everyday living. Philippians 3:17 reads, “Brethren join in following the example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern (NIV). In many letters Paul wrote to the church he would reference to following the example that was already set before them. There are so many situations and systems the enemy has such a stronghold and we as believers should be infiltrating to bring change that will operate based on the Kingdom of God. Don’t take your responsibility of being an example and the level of influence you have lightly. Titus 2:7-8 reads, in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you(NIV). This says a lot about the importance of your influence in the lives of others. Your life could be the example that encourages, draws, and even propels someone to develop that needed relationship with God. Peace and blessings to you all.

Quote: As a believer your influence is a responsibility to
God, yourself, and others. We must be passionate about our boldness in Christ so that we may infiltrate the kingdom of darkness and influence it with the principles/laws of the Kingdom of God to bring change. ~d.taylor
