POWER OF UNDERSTANDING

It is an honor and privilege to speak with you again, today I want to talk to you about the Power of Understanding. We live in a society where information is at our fingertips and often shared without understanding because it sounds good or produces some kind of emotional response. It is necessary whether in action or by way of information that you have an understanding of what you are translating or why you are doing something. In Proverbs 4:7 it says, “Wisdom is the principle thing therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” Once you come to a place of understanding, it is wisdom that helps you apply what you understand. Your understanding is the proof of revelation, it shows that the content or experience revealed God’s true meaning which brought you to a place of understanding. Understanding brings forth peace as you learn what to entertain and how to respond to things that may bother you (Proverbs 14:29). A person can’t change what they fail to understand in their lives. Psalms 119:130 says “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” You remember the phrase “The light bulb went off” which simply means you came to an understanding about something. When we come to a place of understanding the word of God and how to apply Godly principles, our lives will produce the life God desires. An individual who rejects or never pursues understanding is someone who wants to continue to live life on their own terms. Proverbs 18:2 says “A fool hath no delight in understanding but in expressing his own heart.” Some people are so quick to try and prove or display what they know yet they fail to get understanding on the information they have received. Life will challenge you on your understanding when you are releasing information or displaying actions that will produce some type of fruit in your life. Don’t set yourself up for failure by running with things you have yet to get God’s understanding about. You must spend one on one time with God and allow the Holy Spirit to truly teach you. It is only God’s word that brings forth clarity and understanding. Proverbs 9:10 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” By experiencing the pureness of who God is and the truth of the word of God, understanding brings forth the ability to be pure, analyze intent, and to move with purpose. I encourage you today to seek understanding in all you do.

Totality of Love

First off let me apologize for the time I’ve been away from you. I realize many of you have followed my ministry for a while and although I’ve dealt with some night seasons in my life I should have never wavered in what God has called me to do. I ask your forgiveness for my unfaithfulness to writing these message even though God continued to give me things to write to you. Today I wanted to talk with you about the “Totality of Love”. Totality is define as meaning the some total of something. From the perspective of love we often overlook the total cost of love because we only see it as the blissful, happy, and magical feeling/emotion/affection that we may have for someone. Although we have a clearly understand of what love is according to 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and the promise it will never fail. However there is also things that can and will happen at the expense of love. The truth is love does cost but it also provides growth (Psalms 109:4-5) however there is also things that can and will happen at the expense of love when you have Godly love for someone/something. In John 3:16 it reads that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. During Jesus ministry he walked with 12 men that he would spend countless hours mentoring, teaching, helping, perfecting, discipling, and ultimately releasing into them into the will of God for their lives. It would be an accurate statement to say Jesus loved these men. However although love was present he still dealt with things such as betrayal from Judas (John 13:21-27). In this same passage it speaks of Jesus love for the disciple but he also dealt with denial from Peter whom he inquired of the betrayal (Matt. 26:34). Sometimes doubt can arise among individuals although love may be present. Although Jesus explained to the disciples about his death and resurrection we still find Thomas doubted that Jesus had risen and desired proof (John 20:24-29). That alone is a challenging thing to have to prove what exist when it should have been revealed through reception. Jesus still loved enough to prove to Thomas that it was him but he also so say blessed are they that have seen not and yet believe. The love God has a way of producing a supernatural belief in someone or something it is the very thing that twines what was to become what shall be. I believe Paul is one of the greatest examples because he did everything to go against God before his conversion. He literally persecuted the saints and from a fleshly prospective you could understand if he had cost him his life. However due to the will of God and the love of God, he saw fit to change the feet of Paul for his glory. He turned him from darkness to light and extended forgiveness unto him for what he has done (Acts 9). See you must understand even when we go against the will of God for our lives his unconditional love still covers us and allows us grace. Paul’s conversion brings even more clarity to  1 Peter 4:8 which reads, “Above all love covers a multitude of sin (Prov. 10:12).” When you think about love know what Godly love is but also have a consciousness that at the expense of love there may be times other things come up. As long as you understand the total picture of love it makes the process of forgiveness and reconciliation a lot easier when those things come up. Eventually just as Judas came to his senses about his betrayal according to Matthew 27:3-10 and he repented of his sin. Only the love of God can lead you to a place of repentance and forgiveness for one another. Be encourage that all things work together for the good of those who love him.

Kingdom Culture

Kingdom Culture

Good morning I pray the Lord has blessed you beyond measure since my last message. It is amazing God has placed so much inside of us and given us so much responsibility. The Lord really began to deal with me about this message last week as I observed some things around my job about a Kingdom Culture. A culture is comprised of the customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group. A kingdom is a state or government having a king or queen as its head. A kingdom is also anything conceived as a realm or sphere of independent action or control. God desires are for us to create a Kingdom culture. We are simply ambassadors of our King that we serve. Everything that he desires to be in the Earth will be done by men because it’s Gods desire that you become the church and not just go to church (Matthew 16:18). Secondly, God gives you the responsibility to influence and change every environment around you that doesn’t reflect His government (Matthew 16:19). Yes that means your home, job, community, and the church itself should be impacted to be transformed into the reflection of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:10). God never offered you religion, but he offered you a heavenly government that pertained covenant rights and promises to its citizens. Therefore the citizens must have the perspective of the King who established the Kingdom. The perspective of our heavenly King is to transform regions, which is why he gave the disciples regions to preach the message of the Kingdom (Matthew 24:14). This means we as believers must rise to places of influence and leadership positions on our jobs, in our communities, homes, school systems, political arena, and government. It is important that you understand this dynamic because it affects those you were chosen to lead and everyone around you as well (Prov. 29:2). Even in the business arena we must establish a presence so that we wisely begin to circulate our resources back into the church instead of outside the church (Nehemiah 11:16, Luke 16:8-9). It is amazing many do not realize how effective the church must be in business because it must have its own structure. There will never be a government greater than or one that can even compare to the Kingdom of God. Every type of government man tries to instill will fail. There is no way around it we must become the church and establish the Kingdom of God on Earth as we were instructed. Even in light of all the judicial cases lately where the justice system has failed is more proof that man’s system isn’t going to work. As a citizen in the Kingdom of God we are supposed to operate within our own judicial system that was established by our King for his Kingdom (1 Corinthians 6:1-6). I pray that you will study, research, and discover the truth of the Kingdom of God. I pray that you will discover purpose and fulfill the mandate of our King.

The Most Feared Word

Good morning, I pray the Lord has blessed you and your household since my last message. I find it interesting that most people have a fear of accountability. Accountability says so much about who we are yet many us turn away from it, or we choose to be accountable when it’s beneficial for us. What you must understand that God has called you to be accountable in every area of your life (Luke 16:10). Accountability deals with your commitment, service, and maturity to display a high standard of responsibility of things God has placed in your care. Two specific areas that we must learn to be consciously accountable of are the things we say and do daily. Many times we are quick to justify things we have said to others, said via social media, and/or things we say out of anger in the moment. Well you must understand it was still something you chose to say so instead of justifying it be accountable for what you said because either way it has to produce something in your life. God’s way is for us to be wise in the things we say and repeat as well which is why he said be slow to speak, slow to be angry, and quick to listen (James 1:19). You have to understand that every word that proceeds out of your mouth produces something. Many things are happening in our lives as a result of things we have said (Mark 11:24, Proverbs 18:21). When we learn to be accountable for our words this eliminates a lot of things we deal with and then produces things in our lives that are of God. You will even find yourself more conscious of certain songs that you repeat the lyrics to because of that accountability. The next area we must be accountable in our actions in our homes, jobs, church, and everywhere we go because we are constantly representing God. Sometimes we do things intentionally and/or out of spite. We completely serving and helping to advance the kingdom of God in our local church assembly, on our jobs, and in our homes. Our lack of accountability reveals the lack of consistency to serve and to honor our word in things we have committed to do. Once you were saved then you committed to a life of serving to fulfill God’s agenda. God has liberated you but it wasn’t to live a life without accountability (Galatians 5:13). A life with no accountability really says that you don’t value time. Every moment of your life should account for something because you don’t know when it will end (Mark 13:32-33). Accountable actions/behaviors will produce something in your life when it’s for God. To be unaccountable is the work of the flesh that will lead to your destruction (Galatians 5:19-21, Galatians 6:7-8). Everything you do for God not only effects you but even your family because it produces wisdom to leave something in place for the next generation (Proverbs 13:22). Life will only become productive when you become accountable to God and to the standard of living he has placed on us to live.

Not In Vain

As I was recently listening to one of the most powerful songs I’ve ever heard Holy Spirit began to move my heart. I saw images rapidly running before me. I began to see the spiritual state of this country, cries of hurting people, and how lax some are with their belief in Christ. God has called us to stand firm in our faith to stand against unrighteousness as stated in Ephesians 6:12 but we still tend to stand strong in those things that destroy us, as stated in Galatians 5:19-21. We glorify drug dealers, TV shows that support adultery and fornication; we support music that is embedded with violence, sex, drugs, and alcohol; and release in our lives by repeating lyrics. We feed the world most of our resources financially and through the consumption of our time to serve ourselves and others as we neglect God. We turn away from the call of God, doubt the promises of God, and pursue the most things outside the will of God for our lives. We continue in relationships and friendships for a false sense of value as they hold us in bondage not realizing the power of covenant in our lives. Wow! Many times I’ve heard the statement “I’m Real” but your realness lies in things that have no deposit for the advancement of your life. Facebook continues to be the platform for rants, shared violence, nudity, and the picture of destruction we have allowed in our lives. Wow! I want you to know something, God created you for so much more. He breathed greatness into you, clothed you in humility, built you in boldness, and declared you as royalty. The death of Jesus Christ has given you freedom but freedom into the ways of his kingdom (John 15:15). Your realness and boldness lies in Ephesians 6:12 which is to stand against the things that are destroying the region and people that you are assigned to. The fighting videos that are being shared shouldn’t be those of us fighting each other but fighting against the kingdom of darkness. We should fight the good fight of faith and advance the kingdom of God through infiltration coupled with colonization (1 Timothy 6:12, Joshua 18:3). We can’t continue putting everything  in life before Him that gives life, but we must find our place in him and all things will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). Our commitment must become greater to produce an effective outcome that is beneficial for all. We must lead our children by example to prevent them from being destroyed (Phil 3:17, Proverbs 22:6). The time is now!!! No more broken families, no more broken hearts, no more broken futures, no more abandoned futures, no more lacking in life, no more selfishness, no more wasted time, no more doubt, and no more compromise. Lord we loose the spirit of excellence, love, joy, compassion, boldness, urgency, and fulfillment into the lives of everyone. We take back the God given authority and dominion which you have given us. We partake in the covenant promises and rights we have in our relationship with you through our salvation. We dedicate our lives to serve and fulfill your great commission. We honor you Lord! We glorify you Lord! Release your sound now Lord! Release your sound now Lord!

That Doesn't Sit Well With Me

Peace and Blessings unto you in the name of our Lord and Saviour.

Over the last few days I begin to hear a popular phrase “That doesn’t sit well with me” in my spirit (‘I feel some type of way” fits as well). Many of us have used this phrase or at least heard someone else use it on multiple occasions. Holy Spirit really began to open this up to me from a spiritual standpoint. Often the Lord desires to free us or heal us from things holding us in bondage through His truth. However the problem comes in when His truth makes us uncomfortable or doesn’t please our flesh we tend to make one of these two statements “I feel some type of way/That doesn’t sit well with me.” God was very direct in telling us the requirement of freedom from bondage which is found in John 8:32 which reads “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” Therefore if the truth is going to make you free then why are we wrestling with it or rejecting it because it challenges our mindset and lifestyle. You must understand when you wrestle with the truth then you allow satan to snatch away the truth that was sown unto you by revelation of the spirit of God (John 10:29). Rejection in the spiritual realm is  more costly than it is in the natural realm. In the natural no one likes to experience rejection and many times it goes on to mess up the confidence of a person who faces it constantly or simply can’t handle it. In the spiritual realm when we reject God’s truth we must understand we are putting our spiritual man in danger and give the enemy access to our lives via rejection. In John 12:48 Jesus warns us of the consequences of rejecting His word and the judgment that will fall upon those who don’t believe. It is God’s desire that we be freed of a lifestyle void of Him and live life more abundantly in Him. We are sanctified and freed by the truth of God’s word as stated in John 17:17. I encourage you, no matter how challenging it may be, to accept God’s truth about your life. He created us, and he holds a purpose for us all that we must fulfill.

Quote: You always have a decision to choose your truth or the Truth. Let your choice be that which produces life (Deut. 30:19).

On Call

Peace unto you in the name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.

It is my pleasure to speak with you again. The Lord has been dealing with me on this message for a while. As I was driving home one day he spoke to me saying the words “On Call” and I began to see images of employees. Many of us have jobs that require us to be on call while others voluntarily become on call. When I say voluntarily on call I mean those who are so so quick to accept extra shifts without a single thought of asking if that is the place God wanted them to be that day. What is it that makes us commit and be so faithful to being on call for our jobs and not for God? Whenever a person is on call he/she has to stop doing whatever he/she may be doing to go address whatever issue is happening at the job site. What I want you to understand and see is that God desires you to be on call for him. He has people that have issues or needs that only an on call believer is assigned to address and resolve immediately. However, we often spend time in places we shouldn’t be. God is constantly calling us to help fulfill needs but receives no answer. Some even hear God’s instructions but out of selfishness ignore the will of God, which highlights that your job has priority over God. God is very clear about prioritization concerning believers which he has clearly stated in Matthew 6:33. The second thing is stewardship to the God we serve. It’s interesting that many can be great stewards for a job but neglect stewardship concerning the spiritual things of our heavenly Father. He desires us to be great stewards in all that we do (1 Corinthians 4:2). Stewardship is extremely important to the believer because it speaks to commitment, discipline, and a willingness to fulfill God’s agenda. What you must realize is that nothing overrides the assignment God has for you. Whenever your availability is based upon the time you have left after doing what you want to do instead of what God desires you to do then that’s a problem. There are deposits God has placed in you to help release someone from bondage but there are also deposits in others to help release you in certain areas of your life. Therefore understanding your assignment and being available to be used for that assignment is important. Remember this if you delay others then in the same breath you can become delayed as well. I want to encourage you to make it a priority to serve, be available for use of God, and trust God as your source.
